CASA of Southwest Idaho

Protecting children. Serving communities. Empowering volunteers.

We are an independent non-profit organization who represents the best interests of children in Foster Care. We train, mentor, and support our volunteer CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates) who serve as advocates for these vulnerable children. Our goal is for these children to thrive in safe, nurturing, and permanent homes.

We serve Idaho in Adams, Washington, Payette, Gem, Owyhee, and Canyon counties.

A voice for the voiceless

Our Volunteer Advocates are mentored and supported by our awesome Advocate Coordinators. With their guidance, Advocates give 5-8 hours of their time each month to investigate their assigned children's circumstances, and present a thorough report at each Foster Care hearing. Our Advocates are the only party in the case whose sole responsibility is to speak on behalf of the children's best interests.

“The one constant I see in children’s lives is the CASA/GAL Volunteer. I thank them for all the things they have taught me about being a better judge and about being a better human being.”

DONATE

Local foster children need you.

While we do take on every case that our counties' judges assign to us, there are still about 300+ foster children every year that go without representation. Which sucks. We need to raise an additional $300,000 annually in order to proactively reach these children, and we are relying on you, our community's heroes, to bridge the gap. Will you become one of our monthly donors, and change a child's life?
